Dear Coach, It has come to our attention that our 18 wheeler trailer is considered an "illegal size" to travel within the state of California. The state of California has a legal limit of 40 ft. in length that is allowed between the kingpin and the rear axle. Our trailer is 42 ft. We were hoping to get a special permit but after speaking to three people at the Department of Transportation for California, this will not be possible because our additional length is not considered "justifiable". Our only option would be to split the load and travel with two trailers which will not be possible for two reasons: 1) cost involved 2) no time to split the load in the middle of our season when the one trailer travels from state to state for all events. Therefore, it is with great disappointment that we must cancel the Mardi Gras Mingle event. We LOVE coming to San Jose. Our staff has always enjoyed the coaches, interacting with the parents/fans, and the kids. Everyone has always been happy, positive, and a pleasure to serve. We hope to be able to serve you again in the future. Rest assured, next time we purchase a trailer, we will be sure to be considered legal in ALL states!
